  • a. The product is ready mixed and packaged in container Package: 25 kg/bucket

a. Substrate preparation:

  • The substrate surface must be clean and dry.
  • Concrete moisture before application of LM4001
waterproof coating must be less than 6%.
  • Any adhesion reduction factors such as oil, loose materials, bitumen, grease, plaster, etc. must be removed.
  • All defects on the concrete surface must be treated with specialized mortar.
  • Places with edges or corners, feet of walls must be beveled or rounded with mortar or concrete.
  • Surface of lean concrete must be solid. All gaps or pores greater than 5mm must be patched and filled.
  • Structural cracks must be repaired before applying waterproof coating.

b. Application method:

  • Make sure the material is not hardened and the container is not damaged before use.
  • Mix the waterproofing material with a mechanical low speed mixer.
  • LM4001 can be applied by different methods such as: brushing, rolling, spraying.
  • With places with narrow corners, edges or waterproofing details, it is recommended to apply waterproofing layer by brushing.
  • For wide and large construction areas, use rolling or spraying application methods.
  • Always apply by a minimum of 02 layers. Consumption is 0.8 – 1.5 kg/layer.
  • Apply waterproofing material to places with edges, corners and details first, then proceed with the application of first waterproofing layer in a certain direction.
  • After the first layer is dry to the point of not sticking when touched by hand, proceed to apply the second layer in perpendicular direction to the first layer.
  • To enhance the adhesion quality of the coating with its substrate, before applying first waterproofing layer, LM4001 can be applied as primer with consumption being 0.3 kg/m2. Only apply first waterproofing layer when primer surface has been dry (about 4 – 10 hours).
  • Can add a third layer to enhance the quality of the waterproof coating.
  • For areas where there is a need to have a finishing layer on top of the waterproof coating, sand
can be used to increase the adhesion to the finishing material with grain size of 0.5 – 1.2 mm, consumption of 2 – 3 kg/m2 on the surface of the waterproof coating. Sprinkle sand when the top layer of LM4001 coating is still wet.
  • The appropriate consumption should be calculated for the application area before use.
  • Close the bucket lid immediately after taking out the material for application
  • Pot life is approximately 30 minutes depending on weather condition at the construction site.
  • Finishing layer should be done as soon as possible after the waterproof coating has been accepted.
  • This product is safe for handling, storing and application.
