LM7001 Waterproofing Coating
HIGHLY FLEXIBLE 2-COMPONENT ACRYLIC POLYMER CEMENT WATERPROOFING COATING
LM7001 is a highly flexible acrylic based cementitious liquid polymer for waterproof cementitious coating.
LM7001 can be adhered strongly to most substrates. LM7001 makes an effective waterproofing
coating with flexibility and durability properties.
- Can be applied to various substrates such as: masonry, concrete, brick, etc.
- Can be applied in various positions: vertical, slope, horizontal
- Environment-friendly, non-toxic, harmless and safe
- Non-corrosive
- Can be directly applied to wet or dry substrate
- Crack bridging ability
- Simple application
- Can be applied by brushes, rollers or sprayers
- Protect concrete against carbonation
- Good adhesion, excellent durability and water resistance.
- Suitable for wet areas such as toilets, bathrooms, etc.
- Waterproofing under tiles
- Basement of buildings
- Drinking water tanks
- Inside swimming pools
- Underground sewage tanks, channels
- Underground water pipelines
- Green roofs, roof gardens
- Non-exposed roofs
- All underground concrete structures or areas requiring waterproofing and damp proofing.
Packaging: 50 kg/set
- Part A: 30 kg powder
- Part B: 20 kg liquid
No. | Location | Recommended application rate | Total thickness (approx.) |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Moist ground | 2.0 kg/m² | 1.2 mm |
2 | Wet areas, areas under low water pressure | 2.6 - 3.4 kg/m² | 1.5 - 2.0 mm |
3 | Areas under high water pressure | 5.1 kg/m² | 3.0 mm |
a. Substrate preparation:
- The substrate must be sound, even, clean, free of dirt and sharp objects. Any adhesion reduction factors such as oil, loose materials, bitumen, grease, plaster, etc. must be removed.
- Water leaks must be stopped by suitable material
- Substrate must be damp but not wet at the time of application of LM7001
- Standing water must be cleaned by compressed air prior to application of the waterproofing membrane.
- All gaps must be filled by cement mortar or using suitable method.
b. Mixing:
- Before using LM7001, thoroughly shake the part B container.
- Mixing ratio: Part A : Part B = 3 : 2 (by weight).
- Pour half of part B into a mixing container, then slowly add part A while mixing. Add the remaining of part B and continue mixing.
- Mixing time: about 3 minutes, mix until a homogeneous slurry.
- Use a mechanical low-speed mixer.
c. Application method:
- If the slurry starts to set, it can be remixed and used, adding any material is not acceptable.
- Use brushes, trowels or sprayers to apply slurry on substrates.
- Maximum of 3 kg/m2 can be applied for 01 working cycle.
- Always apply by a minimum of 02 layers.
- Apply first layer either by mechanics, by sprayers or brushes. Apply in the same direction.
- Apply second layer in perpendicular direction with first layer when it has hardened.
- Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C or on a frozen substrate.
d. Curing:
- Provide suitable protection against extreme weather conditions (e.g. rain, sun, wind, frost) while setting.
- The freshly treated surface should be protected from rain for a minimum period of 24 hours.
- LM7001 coating must be fully cured before getting in contact with water
- Curing time is at least 3 days by water or wet burlaps or moisture.
- This product is safe for handling, storing and application.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
- Protect skin when applying by using gloves or barrier cream.
- Clean hands by soap/hand cleaner after application.
- Keep product away from any heat sources.
- This is a non-toxic and environmental-friendly product.
- Users shall refer to the most recent Technical Data Sheet for physical, ecological, toxicological and other safety-related information.
- Store product in cool, dry condition and in unopened, undamaged, original package.
- Don’t put product in areas with direct sunlight, rain, snow, ice.
- Storage temperature ranges from +5°C to +40°C.
- LM7001 is not a decorative material.
- It can be treated with tile adhesion after 24 hours.
- Should use sand as backfilling material.
- Completed waterproofing membrane must be protected from mechanical damage.
- Foam or geotextile protection layers are recommended outside membrane backfilling.
